Eleven Wonders Coach, Ignatius Osei-Fosu is ruing his side’s wastefulness in their opening game of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League against Kotoko on Sunday.
The young tactician led his side to a 1-1 draw against the Porcupine Warriors at the Accra Sports Stadium.
After holding their own against Kotoko, Osei-Fosu believes the result should have gone their way if they took their chances.
”We should’ve beaten them (Kotoko) by 5 goals,” he said in a post-match interview.
”Even in the first half, we created like seven clear cut chances that we should’ve scored and their goal came as a result of our mistake.
”They didn’t create one single chance and that’s where my headache is that we can give a goal away as it was functional in our pre-season.
”We kept giving goals away for it has happened here and then we kept missing chances. So on a whole, I’ll say it wasn’t a good game for us because we had to win.
”But again, thumps up to the boys. After a goal down, they still came back and equalized,” Osei-Fosu added.
Kotoko led in the 54th minute through Kwame Opoku who made the best out of Eleven Wonders’ poor defensive communication.
However, Prince Okraku – who joined the fray in the second half – pulled parity in the 76th minute to end the game at 1-1.
Eleven Wonders next play Ebusua Dwarfs at Techiman with Kotoko away to Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park on match-day two.
