Tampico becomes Inter Allies headline sponsor in GHS370k deal

Ghana Premier League side Inter Allies, on Monday, signed a partnership agreement with Tampico to become the club’s headline sponsor.

The deal, for an initial one year, is worth GHS370,000.

“Tampico has been in Ghana for the past 25 years… and the brand is getting famous and famous.

“We are all aware of how football is loved in Ghana. Partnering Inter Allies I think is a good opportunity for the brand.

“Football is the biggest sport in Ghana that’s why we decided to do be a partner of this club,” said Fouad Mouafarrej, the Managing Director for Acadia Industries Limited stated at the launch of the deal.

Speaking on behalf of Inter Allies, Vice-President Eric Delali Senaye said the partnership comes in handy for the club in these COVID times.

“We have been in the Premier League for the past 7 years. Funding has been an issue.

”Competing at the top level requires large sums of money; paying players, transporting them across the country is not an easy task.”

He added: “This sponsorship represents half of the wage bill for our players. What it means is that the funds from Acadia Industries can pay our players for the next six months.

“COVID has affected so many industries and clubs as well. So for any company to be able to give out such an amount in these difficult times, I can only say we thank them for coming to our aid.”

The GHS370,000 partnership deal comprises GHS10,000 worth of Tampico products.

Both Inter Allies and Acadia Industries have an option to extend the partnership by a further two years.
