Caf CC: Salitas must fall – AshantiGold’s Hans Kwofie

AshantiGold striker Hans Kwofie says they will go all out for victory over Salitas FC in their 2020/21 Caf Confederation Cup preliminary round first-leg clash this weekend.

The Miners kick-start another continental campaign at Len Clay Stadium on Sunday, November 29 after missing out of the group stages last season to eventual winners RS Berkane.

Kwofie, ahead of the clash, has urged his team to go for the victory.

“There is no pressure on us to deliver. We were determined to win against Hearts but we couldn’t do and we were a bit down, but this is Africa.

“Every player wants to prove his worth on such a platform,” he told Silver FM.

“We will speak to ourselves as players and ensure we win this game for our supporters and the club.

”This match is a must-win. Even a draw will be like a loss to us. We must go all out to get the win.

“We must win with more goals too and also get a clean sheet. Because it’s a knockout so we must take more goals into the second leg. So I will urge my colleagues to be very determined,” he added.

AshantiGold’s recent match was against Hearts of Oak and it ended in a 2-2 draw.
