VIDEO: Partey stars on full Arsenal debut

Thomas Partey made a solid full debut as Arsenal produced a spirited comeback to beat Rapid Wien 2-1 in the Europa League Thursday.

The Ghana deputy captain, who joined Arsenal from Atlético Madrid for £45m, played the entire game. He was yellow-carded in the 35th minute.

From his full-time stats, Partey completed 83 passes, won 10 duels, gained possession eight times and made five tackles as he was all over the pitch protecting the Gunners defence and initiating attacks.

But Rapid broke the deadlock in the 51st minute through Taxiarchis Fountas after a howler from Arsenal keeper Bernd Leno.

Brazilian defender David Luiz pegged back for Arsenal in the 70th minute.

And then Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang tapped in an easy goal four minutes later to win all three points in the Europa League group stage opener.
