Ghana forward, Kwabena Owusu scored his debut Uefa Europa League (UEL) goal in Qarabag FK’s defeat Thursday night.
The Azerbaijani champions took the lead but were beaten 3-1 by Villarreal in their Group I clash at the Tofiq Bakhramov Stadium.
Owusu, 23, finally broke the deadlock to put Qarabag in front on 78 minutes.
But a late double from Paco Alcacer and one from Yeremi Pino ensured the Spanish side go away with a 3-1 victory.
Kwabena Owusu was replaced by Tural Bayramov in the 89th minute of the game.
He has scored three goals in his 8 appearances for Qarabag FK in the ongoing 2020/21 season.
