RECORD: John Antwi hits his 100th goal in Egyptian football

John Antwi, on Sunday, registered the 100th goal of his Egyptian football career as Pyramids FC fell to a 2-1 defeat at El Gouna in the 2019/20 Egyptian Premier League Sunday.

The Ghana striker becomes the first foreign player to attain the enviable feat.

Antwi’s latest goal took his tally, since arriving in the North African nation in September 2012, to 100 – having previously scored 35 at Ismaily; 11 at Al Ahly; 40 at El Makasa and currently on 14 goals for Pyramids FC.

The 28-year-old opened the scoring for Pyramids on 44minutes, before Zambian Walter Bwaylya ensured the hosts rallied back to win the match-day 25 fixture at Khaled Bichara Stadium, El Gouna with his brace in the 46th and 63rd minutes.

Pyramids are 3rd on the league table with 45 points.
