Ghana youngster, Kamal Deen Sowah scored the only goal to power OH Leuven to victory over Standard Liege in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League on Saturday.
A game that looked dusted on paper for second-placed Standard Liege saw OH Leuven hold on to a stalemate into the break.
Back from recess, Leuven continued their resilience against Liege until the 77th minute Kamal Sowah was assisted by Xavier Mercie for the only goal of the game.
It was the 20-year-old’s first goal of the season for OH Leuven. He lasted 89 minutes on the pitch.
The win, OH Leuven’s first at home in the 2020/21 season, takes them to 5th position with 8 points after 5 matches.
