I will love to play for Sierra Leone – Bekoe

Ghana midfielder, Samuel Bekoe has expressed interest in playing for the Sierra Leone national team.

The former Inter Allies player currently plies his trade with FC Johansen in the Sierra Leonean topflight.

Speaking to Sierra Sports, the 23-year-old admits he will switch nationality to play for the Leone Stars if the chance presents itself.

“I love the country Sierra Leone so so much because I have stayed there not quite long but I feel more at home like I am living in Ghana.

“I love the people of Sierra Leone because they love visitors and I love the food as well don’t forget about that.

“I feel naturally connected to Sierra Leone because I have an aunt who is also Sierra Leonean.

“That is why I feel naturally connected and in love with Sierra Leone right from day one.

“I will love to play for Sierra Leone if given the chance,” Bekoe is quoted as saying.

Samuel Bekoe spent three seasons with Ghana Premier League side Inter Allies after gaining promotion from its feeder club Cedar Stars before leaving on a free after the expiration of his contract.

He joined FC Johansen in 2019 and has been a key member of the side.
