David Obeng Nyarko named Special Assistant to Kotoko CEO

David Obeng Nyarko has been named as the Special Assistant to Asante Kotoko Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Nana Yaw Amponsah in the newly-formed management team of the club.

The former Tano Bofoakwa boss joins three other members of the management, announced by the club on Tuesday.

Nyarko’s new portfolio places him in Ghana Football Association (GFA) meeting where the club’s CEO is unavailable to attend.

His experience in football administration will help the management, made up of mostly business inclined top brains.

David Obeng Nyarko was a member of the Division One Management and Advisory Committees of the GFA before his current appointment.

Also, Nyarko was the CEO of Kingsports LLC, a Sports Development Consultancy from 2019 until his appointment.

Nana Yaw Amponsah leads Asante Kotoko’s board of Directors’ mandate of rebuilding the continental image of the club.

The 12-member board will then report to Life Patron of the Porcupines, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II after three years of service.
