Ghana’s Thomas Boakye and Karim Sadat were in action as in-form Halmstads BK hammered Umea FC 4-0 in the 2020 Swedish Superettan Wednesday evening.
The two teams slugged it out in earnest with no goals produced in the first half.
Halmstads hit the ground running after the break with Paul Wiedesheim scoring two penalties on the 48th and the 55th minutes.
Boakye, who was deployed at right-back, provided the vital assist to Wiedesheim to make the score 3-0 for Halmstad on the 89th minute.
Karim Sadat, after joining the action just before full time, assisted Emil Tot Wilkstroem to complete the 4-0 demolition at the Orjans Vall.
Fellow Ghanaian, Emmanuel Yeboah who played 60 minutes for Umea, was yellow-carded on the 45th-minute mark.
The win keeps Halmstads at second position with 37 points after 18 matches.
