Safiu penalty gives Trelleborgs three points

Fatawu Safiu struck from the penalty spot to earn three important points for Trelleborgs against Vasteras SK in the Swedish Superettan on Wednesday.

The former Asante Kotoko striker, who has been on a blistering form for his side, converted a penalty for the home side in the 76th minute.

The goal by Safiu, 26, was the eventual winner after bagging a hat-trick two weeks ago against Dalkurd.

Fatawu Safiu is growing a reputation for scoring against Vasteras. It was against the same side that he registered his debut goal in Swedish football, bending in a free-kick when Trelleborgs beat Vasteras 2-1 at home on September 1, 2019.

The win puts Trelleborgs at 8th position with 15 points after 13 matches in the 2020 Swedish Supperettan.
