Sadat Karim breaks his duck after almost a year

Ghana striker, Sadat Karim ended his wait for a goal in the 2020 Swedish Superettan as Halmstads BK recorded a  2-0 home win over Oesters IF on Tuesday.

The 28-year-old notched the opening goal for Halmstads  with just 25 minutes played at the Orjans Vall Stadion.

It was not just the former Hearts of Oak player’s debut strike in 11 outings this season but also a first in almost a year since last scoring against FC Trollhättan in the Swedish Cup on August 21. 2019.

Karim was the hero once again when he provided Edvin Kurtulus with an assist to score Halmstads second and final goal of the match-day 12 encounter in the 69th minute.

He played 76 minutes for Halmstads before being replaced by Mikael Boman. Compatriots Joseph Baffo and Thomas Boakye also started the game. The former lasted 80 minutes while Boakye played full throttle.

The win sends Halmstads into second position with 24 points, two behind leaders Degerfors who are yet to clear their 12th game.
