VIDEO: Fatawu Safiu bags hat-trick for Trelleborgs

Ex-Asante Kotoko striker, Fatawu Safiu registered a hat-trick as Trelleborgs FF hammered Dalkurd FF 4-1 in the Swedish Superettan on Saturday.

Trelleborgs went in front as early as the 6th minute when Erik Anderson fired home the assist from Oscar Johansson.

It was the turn of Fatawu Safiu to cause the damage with a first-half treble which he started by doubling the lead for Trelleborgs in the 11th minute. He received a long ball from the Trelleborgs half, outwitted his marker,  danced around the Dalkurd goalkeeper before hitting past four bodies who had lined up in the post.

Safiu, however, conceded a penalty which allowed Dalkurd to pull a goal back in the 21st minute through Kerfala Cissoko.

The hardworking Safiu then fetched his side’s third goal in the 41st minute from the spot-kick to put the game at 3-1.

The 26-year-old finished off the 4-1 damage for Trelleborgs with his third goal in the 43rd minute.

The win keeps Trellebogs FF in 9th with 11 points after 8 matches.
