Bulgarian giants, PFC Ludogorets 1945 on Friday officially presented loan signing Bernard Tekpetey to the press and fans.

The 22-year-old Ghana forward sealed a two-year loan switch from German Bundesliga side FC Shalke 04 on Thursday after passing a mandatory medical.

Tekpetey was presented by sports director Georgi Karamandzhukov.

′′First of all, the most important thing that made me choose Ludogorets was the club itself, what I had heard about it. They play very good football which I liked.

“The club’s permanent participation in the Champions League and the Europa League also made an impact.

“For a player who wants to develop, this is very important. Together with the club, we will be useful,” Tekpetey said at his press conference held at Huvepharma Arena.

“It’s quite different from the Bundesliga, but the first impressions I had are that training is being led in a very good way and my impressions are very positive.

“The coach wants us to play very offensively. I’m really glad I got to see this wish in the team in the first workouts. Glad to be in a club that wants to play really attacking football.

“For me, the most important thing is to work hard. I have to work harder and harder to achieve great heights,” he added.

Ludogorets have the first option on Bernard Tekpetey when the loan agreement elapses at the end of the 2021/22 season.
