Nkansah scores as Braunschweig go top of Bundesliga III

German-born defender of Ghanaian descent, Steffen Nkansah registered a goal as Eintracht Braunschweig defeated Chemnitzer FC 2-1 to climb top of the Bundesliga III table on Tuesday.

The centre-back fired home Braunschweig’s opener on the 8th minute having been assisted by Martin Kobylanski.

Congo’s Merveille Biankadi made the score 2-0 on the 37th minute for the visitors to worsen the plight of the home side.

Back from recess, Braunschweig’s quest to hold on to the 2-0 lead was reduced on the 69th minute when Tarsis Bonga assisted Niklas Hoheneder to pull a goal back for Chemnitzer FC.
