Nkansah fetches winner for Braunschweig

German-born defender of Ghanaian descent, Steffen Nkansah put up a superb performance to earn a winning goal for Eintracht Braunschweig in the Bundesliga III Wednesday.

The 24-year-old central defender scored the only goal on the 34th minute which eventually won the day for Braunschweig against Hallescher FC.

Nkansah saw yellow on the 83rd minute at erdgas-Sportpark, the home ground of Hallescher.

The away win for Braunschweig leaves them on the 5th with 47 points after 29 matches.

Steffen Nkansah started his career at TSG Hoffenheim’s junior and youth sides during his formative years.

He moved to fellow German side Borussia Monchengladbach U19 as a free agent.

He spent a few years at Gladbach II before joining Eintracht Braunschweig in the 2017/18 season.

The 6 foot 2 tall player has been the mainstay in Braunschweig’s central defence since joining them.

Steffen Nkansah is born to a Ghanaian father and a German mother.
