Full time for Nkansah as Braunschweig win on the road

German-born defender of Ghanaian descent, Steffen Nkansah saw full-time action as Eintracht Braunschweig won big away to Unterhaching in the 3. Liga on Wednesday.

Braunschweig were stunned by the home side just on the 9th minute by Markus Schwabl.

The visitors, however, put up a spirited performance after going down in the 9th minute.

Braunschweig pulled parity on the 24th minute through Mike Feigenspan after he was put through by Merveille Biankandi.

They continued the onslaught with the second goal coming on the 26th courtesy, Martin Kobylanski to put the game at 2-1.

Braunschweig finished off the Unterhaching with the third goal coming from Martin Kobylanski with a great assist coming from their first goalscorer, Mike Feigenspan on the 45th minute.

Nkansah,24, was instrumental in his side’s blistering performance as he marshalled the central defence in a 5-4-1 formation employed by manager Marco Antwerpen.

The 3-1 away win pushes Eintracht Braunschweig into 3rd on 51 points after 31 matches.

They are on same points with second place, Bayern Munich II and 3 points behind leaders, MSV Duisburg.

They have the opportunity to qualify for the second-tier (2. Bundesliga) as a 3rd place is a promotion play-off.
