Rashid Seidu: Inter Allies sign goalkeeper for remainder of season

Free-agent goalkeeper Rashid Seidu has joined Inter Allies for the remainder of the 2019/20 season, the Ghana Premier League side has announced.

The highly-rated shot-stopper recently returned home after a stint with AS Douanes of Niger.

Seidu previously turned out for the youth side of Asante Kotoko before moving on to Bechem United and later Wa All Stars (now Legon Cities).

“It’s a great honour to join this great club,” he told the Club’s official website.

“I’m here to offer my best efforts to help the team and to improve as a player as well.

“Also, I want to leave a very good mark during my stay at the club and enjoy my career with the lads and everyone at Inter Allies FC,” the 24-year-old added.

Rashid Seidu was a member of the Ghana U-23 – the Black Meteors – squad at the 2015 African Games in Brazzaville.

He will compete for the number one spot with Gideon Ahenkorah and George Apronti when football resumes. Currently, the 2019/20 Ghana football season is suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
