GPL: Legon Cities focused on full points vs Olympics – Dauda

Legon Cities goalkeeper, Fatau Dauda has stated that his side is focused on winning Friday night’s Ghana Premier League showdown against Great Olympics.

The Royals host the Wonder Club in a match-day 10 fixture at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Speaking ahead of the regional derby, the former Enyimba shot-stopper said he is anticipating a tough encounter.

“It’s a massive game and one we seem to love playing in,” Dauda told LC TV.

“We have been training very hard to get ready & we’re fully focused. We know it’s going to be tough and we want to win to close the gap.”

The two teams have been struggling to maintain their momentum in the league.

Cities come into the game with a 1-1 stalemate against Inter Allies, having defeated Elmina Sharks in the previous match-day. Great Olympics on the other hand, suffered a 2-1 home defeat against Eleven Wonders after securing an impressive 4-3 away win against King Faisal.

Both sides have 10 points, but Great Olympics sit 13th position on the league with a better goal difference than Legon Cities – who are occupying the 15th position.

The game is scheduled to kick off at 19:00GMT
