Ghana U-23 winger, Evans Mensah has made a quick return to European football three weeks after signing for Al-Duhail SC of Qatar.
Mensah, on Friday, completed a one-and-half-year loan move to Portuguese Primeira Liga side Portimonense SC.
The 21-year-old had ended a successful spell of more than three years with Finnish side HJK Helsinki to sign for Al-Duhail until 2024.
But Portimonense, who have good relations and partnership with the Qatari side, have managed to secure Mensah as their first winter reinforcement in the ongoing 2019/20 season.
Evans Mensah joins Emmanuel Hackman as the second Ghanaian currently on the books of Portimonense.
The Estadio Municipal outfit are struggling in the Primeira League this season. They currently lie 16th on the 18-team league table after 14 matches. Portimonense would hope Evans Mensah’s arrival will spark their revival and survival bid to avoid relegation.
