Returnee Asante Kotoko coach, Maxwell Konadu has called for patience from the club’s fans as he takes charge of technical affairs for a second time.
The 47-year-old was announced latest coach of the Porcupines Monday after signing to a two-year renewable contract.
Konadu has been handed a target of winning the Premier League in his first season and subsequently securing a Caf Champions League group stage berth among others.
In his first interview with the Kotoko Express App, Konadu said: “I am back and can say that I am very delighted with the development.”
“I thank the Management and the supporters for the confidence shown in me.
“I will do my best but will ask that the supporters exercise patience as I try to improve the team.”
Maxwell Konadu, the former Kotoko player’s popularity among the club’s fans played a huge role in his re-engagement by management who Footy-Ghana.com understands, had narrowed their coaching search to him and French trainer Didier Gomes Da Rosa.
He won the 2011/12 Ghana Premier League in his previous coaching stint but left for national team duties at the end of his maiden season. His second coming sees him replacing Norwegian Kjetil Zachariassen who was sacked in November for failing to achieve his targets.
