Arch-rivals Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko have a new date to slot it out for the bragging rights over the President’s Cup 2019 trophy after the initial clash got rained off in Kumasi last September.
Cup organizers, the Ghana League Clubs Association (Ghalca), in consultation with both clubs have decided on Sunday, December 15 for the match.
This time around, it is the Phobians who would be playing hosts to Kotoko at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Ghana’s President, Nana Akufo-Addo in whose honour the Cup match is to be played, is expected to grace the match.
The winner of the 12th edition of the President’s Cup will pocket GH¢30,000 as prize money with the loser receiving GH¢10,000 less. Both clubs are also on a GH¢100,000 appearance fee.
