Friendly: Kotoko beat Dwarfs 2-0 in Cape Coast

A goal in each half from Emmanuel Gyamfi and Songnè Yacouba saw against Ebusua Dwarfs saw Asante Kotoko kick off their Central and Western regional pre-season tour with victory on Friday.

The Porcupine Warriors beat Ebusua Dwarfs 2-0 in an all-Premier League encounter at the Robert Mensah Stadium.

Winger Gyamfi opened the scoring in the 23rd minute with a simple finish after feeding on a pass from midfielder Collins Ameyaw.

Yacouba, the Burkina Faso striker, then took his turn in the second half on 68 minutes.

Kotoko ended the game with 10 men after seeing left-back Patrick Yeboah sent off by referee Francis Antwi two minutes from regulation time.

Led by assistant coach Johnson Smith, the Kotoko team will now make a short trip to the Western Region where they are scheduled for another friendly match with Division One side Skyy FC at the Daboase Park in Takoradi on Sunday, December 8, 2019.

Asante Kotoko are expected to confirm the return of Maxwell Konadu as head coach by the time the team returns to Kumasi on Monday.
