Goalkeeper Gideon Ahenkorah has joined Inter Allies on a two-year contract.
The ‘Eleven Is To One’ landed the services of the shot-stopper from fellow Ghana Premier League side Berekum Chelsea.
Ahenkorah’s arrival shores up an area the club has been eager to strengthen in the transfer window. He joins fast-rising youngster Saeed Salifu in the Allies first team.
Speaking on his switch to the Accra-based club after spending close to five years in Berekum, Ahenkorah said: “I’m very happy to be here. It’s a beautiful club and I’m ready for this new challenge.”
“I am a motivator and a leader and with the experience I have, I can teach the young talents a few tricks,” he added in his first interview with the club’s website.
Meanwhile, as earlier reported, Inter Allies have confirmed receiving the approval to adopt the Accra Sports Stadium as home grounds for the upcoming 2019/20 Ghana Premier League. The season kicks of the weekend of December 27-29.
