18 players have been invited to kick-start Ghana’s preparations towards next month’s Under-23 Africa Cup of Nations scheduled to take place in Egypt.
Head coach Ibrahim opted to name three goalkeepers, five defenders, six midfielders and 4 strikers in the initial squad made up of basically home-based players.
Camp opens on Friday, October 11 at M-Plaza Hotel in Accra.
The Black Meteors squad is expected to be beefed up the arrival of the foreign-based contingent during the November international break.
Ghana are housed in Group A in their first-ever U-23 Afcon outing alongside hosts Egypt, Cameroon and Mali.
The tournament, set for November 8-22, will also determine Africa’s three representatives to the football competition at the 2020 Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan
