Ayew confirms Fenerbahce exit after loan stint

Andre Ayew has confirmed his departure from Fenerbahce after completing his season-long loan with the Turkish giants.

The new Ghana captain made 38 appearances for the side who had to manage to escape relegation from the Super Lig.

Ayew, scored five times during the spell but his performances could not entice the Fenerbahce top hierarchy to reward him a permanent deal.

“First of all I want to thank the fans, the club, and the staff. I am leaving this great club with lots of experience. It was a very tough year for us but at least we have managed to finish the season strongly.

”Let’s hope Fenerbahce have a great season in the next campaign. Speaking personally, I have to say that I should have done better. This is a huge club and the memories will remain with me forever,” the 29-year-old told Fener TV.

Andre Ayew is to revert to English Championship side Swansea City.
