#NCSpecial: Sharks silence Karela at Elmina

Elmina Sharks maintained their unbeaten record at home with a 2-0 victory over Karela United on match day six of the Normalization Special Cup.

An early goal from George Amonoo and the final nail in the coffin few minutes from full time by winger Benjamin Tweneboah did the damage on the impressive visitors.

Amonoo’s effort which put Sharks in front came in the 4th minute.

The hosts held on despite attacking threats from their visitor’s strong forward line maintaining the lead as the game went on recess.

The second half started with a lot more intense play from both sides but it was Sharks who proved more strength as Tweneboah ended Karela’s hopes of an equalizer with a fine finish as late as the 88th minute.

Coach Yaw Acheampong’s side lie third on the Premier B log with ten points. Karela are also on 10 points but place fourth due to Sharks’ superior goal difference.
