#NCSpecial: Medeama beat Wonders to preserve home form

Medeama remain unbeaten at home after Kalibo Dedy Toussaint’s second half strike granted them victory over Eleven Wonders on match-day six of the Normalization Special Cup.

The triumph means Coach Samuel Boadu’s charges have not dropped any point at the Tarkwa Na Aboso Park.

The 71st minute winner was the former San Pedro of Ivory Coast attacker’s first competitive goal for the Yellow and Mauves.

Wonders have not been impressive in the competition so far. The Techiman-based club had lost three games heading for the game in the Western Region.

After holding the hosts in the first half, Wonders fell off as they could not contain the pressure with just 20 minutes to end the clash.

Coach Enos Adepa might be heading for the exit as fans earlier called for his sack after their 3-0 defeat to Asante Kotoko. Wonders, lying bottom of the Premier A standings, have only one win from 5 games.

For Medeama, the triumph puts them at second spot on 10 points from 4 games. They have an outstanding match away to Berekum Chelsea scheduled to be honoured May 1.

The final matches of the Normalization Special Cup first round come off Wednesday, April 24.
