Berekum Chelsea assistant coach, Randolph Armah praised the quality of AshantiGold after beating the Miners 1-0 Sunday afternoon.
According to the trainer – who aided returnee boss Tony Lokko in masterminding the side’s first victory in the Normalization Special Cup – they defeated the most orderly team they have met in the competition so far.
“This win is as a result of hard work against a very good team. We have played many good teams but I can confidently say AshantiGold is the best so far.
“They are well-coached and they have recruited a very good team but my team matched them in every department and wanted more.
Armah, who was extremely happy after the win said his side would have to improve in their next game away in Kumasi n Wednesday.
“I’m a very happy coach today, and against Asante Kotoko, we will have to be better than today.” he noted.
Berekum Chelsea lie 6th on the 7-team Premier A log with an outstanding game at home to Medeama. That fixture has been scheduled to be cleared May 1.
