NCWSC Day 3: Fabulous Ladies secure first win [+FULL RESULTS]

It was yet another interesting weekend in the ongoing Ghana FA Normalization Committee Women’s Special Competition as match-day 3 fixtures were honoured across the country.

While Fabulous Ladies got their first ever win the competition, Hasaacas Ladies continued their abysmal start to the stop-gap competition.

In Group A, Fabulous Ladies thrashed Supreme Ladies 3-0 at the Kumasi Girls SHS Park. Fabulous Ladies ended the first half with a 2-0 lead courtesy goals by Jennifer Kankam Yeboah and Agnes Aduako. After the break, Rosina Kurbile netted the third goal for the visitors.

In the other group game, Kumasi Sports Academy were held to a barren stalemate by Ash Town Ladies.

In Group B, Pearl pia Ladies welcomed Northern Ladies at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium. Having secured a point against Ampem Darkoa Ladies on match-day 2, Pearl pia were confident of securing all three points but two first half goals by Black Maidens’ forward Mukarama Abdulai and Black Princesses’ midfielder Linda Obeng gave the visitors a 2-0 victory.

Elsewhere at the Sunyani Coronation Park, Prisons Ladies played a 1-1 draw with giants Ampem Darkoa Ladies. Ophelia Amponsah opened the scoring in the 51st minute but with seven minutes to end proceedings Rita Okyere pulled parity for Prison Ladies. The fixture was initially rained off on Saturday.

In Group C, Sea Lions failed to maintain their 100% run after they were held in a goalless draw by LadyStrikers at the Nduom Park.

Hasaacas Ladies continued their poor run as they played a goalies draw with Soccer Intellectuals.

In the Group D, Halifax Ladies won 2-1 over Immigration Ladies. Evelyn Amaaning scored in the 5th minute but a brace by Ernestina Tetteh on the 8th and 58th minutes secured all three points for Halifax Ladies.

In the other game, Samaria Ladies were beaten 3-1 at home by Police Ladies. Juliet Abankwa broke the deadlock but a brace by Faiza Ibrahim and an injury time strike by Juanita Aguadze handed Police all three points on the road.
