CONFIRMED: Keita Naby, Nii Adjei among six on Kotoko release list

Guinean striker Keita Naby Laye as well as midfielder Daniel Nii Adjei are among six players set for crunch exit talks with Asante Kotoko management.

Footy-Ghana.com understands that the duo together with Abass Mohammed (striker), Obed Owusu (striker), Frederick Boateng (striker) and goalkeeper Muntari Tagoe have been confirmed as the players to leave in what could be the beginning of a clear-out by head coach CK Akonnor.

Of these players, three – Keita Naby, Muntari Tagoe and Daniel Nii Adjei (returned to club) – were only signed by Kotoko prior to their Africa campaign in October 2018.

Beginning Monday, these players are to take turns in separate meetings over their contracts at the club’s secretariat – with some possibly being sent out on loan.

Footy-Ghana.com also gathers that the management of the Porcupine Warriors, with the blessings of head coach Akonnor, has made moves to sign an attacker from one of the clubs they faced during their recently ended Caf Confederation Cup campaign.

In related news, the team resumes training today, March 25 for preparations towards the GFA Normalization Committee Special Competition which kicks off this weekend.
