Ghana forward Andre Ayew netted his fifth league goal as Fenerbahce recorded a 2-0 victory over Goztepe to continue their resurgence Friday night.
The Dragons, who have been flirting at the relegation zone, began the week with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Yeni Malatyaspor on Monday before adding tonight’s victory which sees them climb up to 12th place on the Turkish Super Lig table.
Ayew handed Fenerbahce an early lead – a simple tap-in on 7 minutes at the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium.
He was substituted in the 64th minute and Nigerian international Victor Moses, who came on for him, sealed the 2-0 win 9 minutes later from an assist by Jailson.
Andre Ayew’s compatriot, Lumor Agbenyenu played full throttle at left-back for the visiting Goztepe.
