Caf CC: Coton Sport arrive Kumasi for playoff decider [+SQUAD]

Cameroonian champions, Coton Sport FC de Garoua touched down Kumasi late Thursday afternoon ahead of their Caf Confederation Cup playoff decider with Asante Kotoko.

Les Cotonniers, looking to overturn a 3-2 deficit from a home loss in the first leg, have made their way to Ghana in a 26-man contingent well ahead of the reverse fixture scheduled for the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday, January 20.

The Coton Sport contingent includes 18 players, four technical staff and same number of administrative personnel led by club president Fernand Sadou.

Squad news:

Coach Bertin Ebwelle’s side is boosted by the return of attacking midfielder Serge Seko who had to sit out of the first leg as a result of card accumulation. They however lose left-back Bawak Etta on same grounds.

Also back in the mix is Simon Omossola, who was Coton Sport’s first-choice goalkeeper in their journey to winning the Cameronian elite league last season.

Midfielder Moise Sakava is also not available after leaving for France to complete a transfer to Ligue 2 side Stade Reims.

Some key names in the Coton Sport squad include last season’s MTN elite two top scorer, Aime Mangolo, Kamilou Daouda, Ariane Ngueme and Francis Elimbi.

The aggregate winner after Sunday’s clash at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium secures a slot for the group stage of the 2018/19 Caf Confederation Cup.
