Caf CC: Kotoko touch down Nairobi for Kariobangi Sharks showdown

A 30-man Asante Kotoko contingent arrived in Kenya for their 2018/19 Caf Confederation Cup first leg clash with Kariobangi Sharks on Wednesday.

Made up of an 18-man squad, seven technical team and four management officials and a club media staff, the Porcupines checked in at the plush City Lodge Hotel in Nairobi after a transit in Addis Ababa from Accra.

Coach CK Akonnor and his charges zoomed into action with their first training session at Gian Institute Park, Pagani after a brief rest and lunch time meal.

Kotoko, who are participating in the Confederation Cup as a result of their 2016/17 MTN FA Cup title triumph, will have two more days to prepare and acclimatize to the altitude in the East African nation before facing their hosts at Moi International Sports Complex (MISC), Kasarani on Saturday, December 15.

Kickoff is at 12:00 GMT.

The winner of this tie over two legs advances to the group stage (Money Zone) of the 2018/19 Caf Confederation Cup.
