Caf CC: Kotoko to know Cameroonian opponents Nov. 25

Asante Kotoko will know their Cameroonian opponents for the 2018/19 Caf Confederation Cup prelims November 25.

The new date was announced last Thursday after the Central African country president, Paul Biya, who is guest of honour for the grand finale of the ‘Coupe du Cameroun 2018’ finally confirmed his availability.

The winner of the final between Eding Sport and Lion Blessé gets automatic placement in the Confederation Cup and will have just three days to be at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium to face Kotoko in the first leg of the prelims.

The Coupe du Cameroun final, on Sunday November 25, is scheduled for Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium in Yaoundé.

Kotoko is scheduled to host their 2018/19 Caf Confederation Cup preliminary round first leg in Kumasi on November 28 and travel for the return fixture the followiing week.

Should the Porcupine Warriors successfully negotiate the Cameroonian hurdle, they could be facing one of Kenya’s Kairobangi Sharks FC or Arta Solar7 of Djibouti in the 1/16th stage.

Kotoko will go away first and complete the tie at home on December 23.

The aggregate winner qualifies for the group stage (famously called Money Zone) of the 2018/19 Caf Confederation Cup.
