2018/19 Caf CC: Kotoko submit 26-man squad [LIST]

CK Akonnor’s Asante Kotoko squad lodged with Caf for the 2018/19 Confederation Cup includes 11 new recruits.

The Porcupine Warriors coach stuck to his pre-announced squad size of 26, thus seeing him select only 15 of the players he inherited from his predecessor Paa Kwasi Fabin for the Africa campaign.

Kotoko’s 26-man squad is made up of three goalkeepers, nine defenders, nine midfielders and five forwards.

The new signing include goalkeeper Muntari Tagoe, right-back and Champions League winner, Yaw Frimpong, who returns to the club from TP Mazembe, Abdul Ganiyu Ismail (centre-back) as well as left-backs Abass Mohammed and Evans Owusu who was acquired from lower tier side Charity Stars.

Also making the squad are newly-signed midfielders Martin Antwi, Umar Basiru, Maxwell Baakoh and Kwame Bonsu with strikers Naby Laye Keita from Guinea and  Abdul Safiu Fatawu, formerly of Vancouver Whitecaps, completing the list.

Asante Kotoko will know their opponents for the preliminary round of the Caf Confederation Cup on Saturday, November 3.
