Derek Boateng denies signing Europa FC deal

Former Ghana international Derek Boateng has flatly denied media reports claiming that he had agreed to a deal with Europa FC of Gibraltar as a player-coach.

It emerged Tuesday that midfielder had even signed his contract while in Ghana.

But Boateng, who has been cooling off in London with his family for over two months now, has told a Footy-Ghana.com source that no decision has been made.

“Ignore the claims. Yes, there have been some discussions but I’ve not signed anything anywhere.

“I’m currently in search for Kenkey to eat,” the 35-year-old said from his London base.

Derek Boateng has been without a club since ending his stint with Greek Super League side Ofi Crete at the end of the 2016/17 season.
