Ghana assistant coach Ibrahim Tanko says the team’s preparations for the international friendly against Iceland has not been affected by the about-to-be premiered Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ exposé on corruption in football.
The Black Stars are set to face the Boys on Thursday June 7 at Laugardalsvollur.
The technical brain asserts that the major talking point of the investigative piece are more political oriented than football related.
“We are in camp now but with this thing that has come up, for now I will say it is a political matter.”
“We have to wait and see what will happen. For now we are preparing we will see what happens,” Tanko told Citi FM.
The Stars are making use of the friendly fixtures to prepare for the 2019 Afcon qualifiers. Ghana’s group features Ethiopia, Kenya and Sierra Leone.
