Ghana midfielder Winful Cobbinah is not joining Danish second tier side Viborg FF on a straight deal as widely reported, Footy-Ghana.com has confirmed.
The Hearts of Oak star has presented himself for close observation for two weeks during which he has to convince the Viborg technical team he deserves a permanent contract.
Cobbinah, 26, began the trials with the First Division club on Monday alongside Denmark right-back Andreas Albech whose contract with Norwegian side Sarpsborg is set to expire this year.
The former Najran SC playmaker enjoyed a great season last term when he rejoined Hearts after a failed stint in Saudi Arabia.
Cobbinah helped Hearts of Oak to secure third spot in the league and also the FA Cup final berth after the 2016/17 season. His eye-catching performances also earned him a call-up to the senior national team, the Black Stars last year.
