Ghana striker Majeed Waris has been snapped arriving in Portugal ahead of his FC Porto move.
As earlier reported, the 26-year-old has chosen the Portuguese giants over French Ligue 1 side SM Caen who also had their offer accepted by his club FC Lorient a couple of days ago.
Per reports, a loan deal until the summer has been agreed on with a €6m purchase option.
Waris was spotted at the VIP zone of the Porto Airport Friday morning in a black hoodie.
He arrived in the company of his advisor and former Ghana international Yusif Chibsah.
Waris is expected to undergo a mandatory medical before completing his switch to FC Porto.
Footy-Ghana.com reliably understands his move was highly influenced by Champions League opportunity. FC Porto have a date with English giants Liverpool in February and Waris who has not been cap-tied this season can get a chance to feature in the competition.
