BREAKING: Russia’s FC Anji sign Kwadwo Poku

Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Poku has sealed a move to struggling Russian Premier League side FC Anji.

Anji, who find themselves second from bottom of the league log with ten games to go, completed negotiations with North American Soccer League side (U.S second tier) Miami FC on Wednesday.

Poku is joining the Russians on a two-and-half-year contract, ending May 31, 2020.

The 25-year-old, who enjoys playing as an attacker, had spent his entire professional career from 2014 to 2017 in the United States, where he featured for Atlanta Silverbacks, New York City FC and recently Miami FC.

Kwadwo Poku has been capped thrice by Ghana, the recent being a substitute appearance in a World Cup qualifier between the Black Stars and Congo at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in August last year.
