According to our sources, Lagos-based Westerloo Academy used the Ghanaian side who have ties with renowned football agency, ProBall Management, as a conduit to get the combative midfielder into Europe.

Afeez Aremu, 18, will stay in Ghana and train with Inter Allies until the New Year before flying to join IK Start for preparations towards the 2018 Norwegian season which kicks off in March.

As a defensive midfielder, he last played club football for Akwa United in the recently ended Nigeria Professional Football League.

Afeez Aremu came into the limelight during the Wafu Cup of Nations in Ghana where he was marked alongside Ghana’s Isaac Twum by scouts of IK Start.

Twum, who led Ghana to a 4-1 drubbing of Nigeria in the Wafu Cup finals, completed his move last week and will soon be joined by the Nigerian.
