Karela United intensified their preparations for the 2017/18 season in neighbouring Ivory Coast with a test game against giants ASEC Mimosas Wednesday morning.
The Ghana Premier League newbies, have since the past four days, opened a three-week camp at Grand Bassam in the Ivorian capital, Abidjan.
Karela took a short trip to the Complexe sportif de l’ASEC Mimosas in Sol Béni where they engaged the Ivorian Premier League leaders.
The test game ended barren with Coach Johnson Smith getting the opportunity to try a number of his player.
Al Masry Club of Egypt contract rebel and experienced Burkina Faso international striker Aristide Bancé, compatriot Amed Touré and Komlan Agbegniadan, who recently left Ghana Premier League sides Bechem United and WAFA SC respectively, featured for ASEC.
Meanwhile, Karela United are keen on completing talks with former AshantiGold playmaker Emmanuel Osei Baffour. The Nzema Ayiniase side have also secured the services of former Ghana youth defender Ganiu Ismail.
Karela will be participating in Ghana’s flagship off-season competition, the Ghalca G-8 which kicks off on January 6.
