Asante Kotoko have confirmed the appointment of ex-player Raphaël Patron Akakpo as new assistant coach.
The 44-year-old signed a two-year deal with the Porcupine Warriors Tuesday night.
Akakpo joins from Academy side WAFA SC where he has worked in both assistant and head coach capacities in recent years.

“Akakpo penned a two-year contract with the FAA Cup Champions and is expected to assist Polack in achieving set targets for Kotoko.
“We wish him all the best,” read an official statement from the club.
Akakpo Patron played for Kotoko as a striker over two decades ago and was part of the side’s back-to-back league triumphs in the early 90s.
