Ghana’s Raman Chibsah has emerged as a surprise target for SS Lazio.
According to reports in the Italian media, the 5th—placed Serie A side are considering a move for the Benevento central midfielder as manager Simone Inzaghi looks for reinforcements in the January transfer window.
Chibsah, 24, has made fourteen (14) appearances for the newcomers who occupy bottom spot on the league table with just a point.
But his impressive outings appear to have caught the eyes of the Stadio Olimpico side who are competing on three fronts – in the Serie A and Italian Cup as well as the uefa Champions League.
According to “Il Sannio”, the Ghana international could leave Benevento as early as January.
The report further claims it is possible that the negotiation that could lead Chibsah to Lazio may also include Luca Crecco, who was already sought by Benevento in the summer.
Raman Chibsah is well-travelled in the Italian league having previously featured for Sassuolo, Juventus, Parma and Frosinone.
