Bitterness! Saka reveals main reason for Aduana exit

Godfred Saka has finally lifted the lid on his decision to not renew his contract with Ghanaian champions Aduana Stars.

The experienced right-back feels hurt by what he calls neglect during a difficult spell last season.

Saka picked up an injury during a Ghana Premier League outstanding fixture away to Great Olympics in back in June. What had appeared a minor injury rather kept him out for the rest of the season.

According to the 29-year-old, he was left to his fate during his recovery process. Saka in an interview with the Graphic Sports claims there were times when he had to pay from his pocket to see a physiotherapist after he had exhausted money given to him by the club to treat himself.

“I don’t want to extend my time at Aduana either because of the way the club treated me during my injury. There were times where I had to pay with my own cash to see a physio,” he is quoted as saying.

Godfred Saka’s contract with Aduana Stars ended in November. He enjoyed an eight-year stint during which he won two league titles with the Dormaa-based side.
