Aduana: Yusif Abubakar’s axe falls on Mpong, others

Winger Richard Mpong is among players heading for the exit from league champions Aduana Stars, Footy-Ghana.com has confirmed.

Sources inform this website that the former Kotoko player fell in the bad books of Coach Yusif Abubakar during the past season hence deciding to axe him from his squad for the upcoming campaigns.

Tanko Mohammed, Michael Amenya, Bright Nsiah and right-back Nana Yaw Afriyie are other notable names who have reportedly been told to look elsewhere.

Aduana Stars have moved to quickly tighten lose ends by securing the services of Wa All Stars captain Hafiz Adams and Justice Anane from Berekum Chelsea to fill the void by the departure of these players.

According to reports, head coach Yusif Abubakar is monitoring six players who are currently justifying their inclusion.

The ‘Ogya Boys’ have been the busiest club during this transfer season – releasing, renewing and signing new players, all in bid to perform well in the Caf Champions League and the Ghana Premier League as well.
