Tianjin Teda have made Frank Acheampong’s loan deal from RSC Anderlecht permanent.
The Chinese Super League side and the player triggered the purchase option in the four-month loan agreement signed with the Belgian side back in July.
After initial hesitation, Anderlecht gave in to the desperate Chinese side’s persistence to sign the Ghanaian last summer but on loan for the rest of the season ending November.
Tianjin Teda signed Acheampong on loan for a fee of 3 million euros while the 24-year-old earned a whopping 300,000 euros per month, almost four times his wages with the European side.
Now, after helping the side avoid relegation with four goals in 12 league games, Footy-Ghana.com can confirm that Tianjin Teda are paying an extra 3.5 million euros for the outright sale.
The winger is now tied to Tianjin Teda for the next two seasons.
