The Black Stars’ warmup friendly came off as scheduled Thursday with Coach Kwasi Appiah’s men defeating Glow-lamp Academy 5-1 in Cape Coast.
The Ghana senior national team led 2-1 at halftime courtesy goals from striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom and centre-back Nicholas Opoku.
Mubarak Wakaso, Raphael Dwamena and Lumor Agbenyenu took turns in the second half to give the Black Stars a healthy 5-1 victory.
With Captain Asamoah Gyan and Christian Atsu still nursing injuries, all the other 21 players available for Kwasi Appiah were involved in the game.
In the second half, coach Kwasi Appiah opted to make several changes, keeping only Opare and Agbenyenu who started the game.
