2018 WCQ: Ghana vs Egypt Starting Lineups

Ghana and Egypt will draw the curtains on their qualifiers to the 2018 Fifa World Cup in Cape Coast at 3:30pm today.

Egypt have made it to next year’s World Cup to be played in Russia whiles coach Kwasi Appiah will assess his squad for the 2019 AFCON qualification after missing out of the World Cup.

For Appiah, it is an opportunity for some young lads to stake a claim for a place in his team. Nana Ampomah and Godfred Donsah get their first Black Stars cap while Edwin Gyasi is making his home debut in the starting lineup against the Pharaohs.

Young Boys defender Kasim Nuhu will partner Daniel Amartey at the heart of Ghana’s defense with Lumor Agbenyenu and Harrison Afful all forming the back four.

Gyasi, who made a cameo appearance in the 5-0 away thrashing of Congo, starts from the wings of the Ghana midfield with Mubarak Wakaso, Godfred Donsah and Ebenezer Ofori.

FC Zurich forward Raphael Dwamena will lead Ghana’s attack with Nana Ampomah also starting the match.
